Please excuse me for going off of our month long topic of Reminiscence this week, but I am too excited not to blog about an important day for Sitters Etc. On January 31, 2010, Sitters Etc. celebrated its 8th birthday! Many of you will not be able to completely comprehend how important this day is for Beau and me. But please indulge me as I attempt to explain.
Beau Brothers moved to Brentwood in pursuit of starting a non-medical, in homecare company in 2002. Possessing no background in Marketing, Beau knocked on what he felt were locked, steel doors for two years to build important relationships with nurses, physicians, assisted living facility directors and many other senior healthcare professionals. He believed that Sitters Etc. could and would provide the highest quality of homecare for elderly in Nashville, Columbia, Clarksville, Lebanon, Hendersonville, Centerville, Murfreesboro and Dickson.
Those healthcare and other geriatric professionals must have paid attention to Beau and he made them believers in his desire to provide daily living activities assistance for our seniors better than anybody else out there. They sent Sitters Etc. clients. Then they sent some more. Next thing you know, our clients were sending us their friends and relatives to service. Then our caregivers started putting the word out..."Beau is the best boss I've worked for. He demands alot, but he's fair and he has lots of jobs for us!" You get the picture, I'm sure.
All of that ground work led Sitters Etc. to the next stage...EXPANSION. Beau opened offices in Memphis, TN and Jonesboro, AR. During this period, he met me and we soon married. I joined him in working to service our seniors with their activities of daily living and we then opened an office in Little Rock, AR. Since then, Beau and I proudly opened offices to service our senior citizens in the following TN locations: Knoxville, Chattanooga, Crossville, Dyersburg, Columbia and Jackson.
Our growth at Sitters Etc. is attibuted to one main factor and that is Beau Brothers' desire to, quoting Beau, "DO IT BETTER THAN ANYBODY ELSE!" Once he sets a goal for his staff and it is reached, everyone wants to celebrate. But after a quick, "Good job," to his staff, he immediately sets another goal because, quoting Beau, "We can do it just a little bit better!"
On a personal note, I want to thank my husband, Beau Brothers for his diligence and dedication to being the best in everything he takes on. His family, clients and caregivers are all important to him and he proves it daily by going to work and ALWAYS being on-call and available to them when they need him. Congratulations to Sitters Etc. and all of its family (clients, office staff, and caregivers) on reaching their 8th birthday running wide open at the top of their industry! The best is yet to come!
